On March 13, 2020, a state of health emergency was declared. The country came to a standstill. Shops, restaurants and schools were closed, and the entire population was asked to stay home.
April 27 was the first day of what was called the de-escalation, “phase 0”, which allowed people, even children, to leave the house for short walks. Until then, only adults were allowed to go out for justified reasons such as buying medicine, stocking the pantry or walking the pet.
For 45 days, families with children who followed the rules had their kids absolutely locked up.
